Cool Magazine Exclusive Interview
Cool: Chansung is 2PM’s maknae, and the cutie that everyone acknowledges. But it seems like you’ve been looking tough lately!
Chansung: I think from this round of promotions, everyone has seen my manlier side? During ‘10 Upon 10’, it felt like we were just playing.. “wow there’s a girl!” Joking around like that. But this time our style narrates about a guy who has been through hurt and heartaches. Maybe it’s because we have to have such sad, grieving and angry emotions, so I show more charisma on stage.
Cool: Do you also feel that you have some areas in your life that you’re strong-willed about?
Chansung: I think my character is more calm and easy-going. I don’t think there’s anything I’m strong-willed about, hehe.
Cool: When you go on shows alone, you always expose your Hyungs’ secrets. When you go back to your dorm you must have suffered much?
Chansung: They won’t dare bully me. It’s me who bullies them, wahahahaha.
Cool: You started out as an actor. Do you currently have any plans for acting?
Chansung: Regarding acting, I might not have any plans for now, because I want to work hard with the members, for 2PM to be Korea’s best group. Until I have a position of my own, then maybe I will still continue acting. Besides, I love acting. There’s a big difference between acting and singing. It’s like after acting for a long time, I will develop workaholism. When I see my takes I will say stuff like “wow, I really went through a lot for this scene!”, “I think I didn’t act well in this part!” I can see all these, and notice the little details. This is how much I hold on to acting.
